Christmas Come Early For Glasgow Rocks!
Following London City Royals cancelling their Glasgow Rocks match up on Saturday the 7th of December less than ten hours before the game was set to tip off the Rocks released an official statement explaining that they were "Extremely disappointed by the cancellation and will be formally writing to the BBL to express their disappointment and to seek the appropriate action in relation to the Championship points related to the cancelled fixture and the recovery of associated travel costs."
Today the BBL Disciplinary Panel announced that "The Royals have confirmed that there were sufficient players available to start the game and that the postponement of the game was not approved by the BBL. Based on these findings and in line with the BBL regulations the Disciplinary Panel has awarded the game to Glasgow Rocks with a score of 20 to 0 and the Royals have been fined an undisclosed sum."
Due to this decision the Glasgow Rocks are now sitting in second place in the BBL Championship table with a 3-1 record behind only the London Lions who are 4-0. Merry Christmas!
